Pierre de Fermat was a French lawyer at the Parlement of Toulouse, France, and an amateur mathematician. Pierre Fermat's father was a wealthy leather merchant and second consul of Beaumont- de- Lomagne.Pierre de Fermat was born in Beaumont-de-Lomagne, France in August of 1601 and died in 1665.French mathematician founded number theory.
